Hey guys, wanna see a really cool solve with efficient part use and a KICKASS input suppression with another input? Well, too bad, because SOMEONE immediately shaved juuust one more piece of track and all of our (mostly his) graceful maneuvering went to shit again. Such is life!

Lessons learned: how to not waste a single cycle, how to sacrifice abstract perfection for better results (i got dual min latency on day 2 :D ), how to think with geometry, how awesome teams are, and how sneaky burnout is.

I wasn't even doing this metric until I was sent sketches to transcribe while my teammate was stuck on public transit. The eventual back and forth refinements, countless variations of frustratingly equal-metric solves, debates over style options later ruined by metric improvements, and an almost-final design that looked like the continental United States, it was a wild ride.
